16-inch Heavy-duty Sand Dredging Pump was Delivered to Cameroon

Heavy duty sand dredging pump is the compact multifunctional sand pump machine which can be used on the sand dredger or the land for sand or slurry suction and transport. The sand dredge pump features wear resistant parts, large spherical passage impeller, high operational efficiency, wide application,  and energy saving etc. The over-flow parts are made of wear resistant chrome alloy. The suction depth can up to 35 m; the discharge distance can up to 1000-1500 m without booster pump. The heavy duty sand dredging pump is suitable for inland river dredging, coastal embanking, coal mining, power plants and other enterprises to transport solid particles containing slurry, medium particles up to 80 mm. Sand dredge pump can also be equipped on dredger ship or boat as marine sand pump for sand and gravel pumping.  Our heavy-duty sand dredge pump has passed through the trial test and industrial operation test.

There are five types of heavy duty sand dredging pumps designed by OCEAN Pump such as  general-purpose sand pump for ships, heavy-duty sand pump for ships, large-flow sand pump, large-particle sand pump and sea blowing special sand pump. These sand pumping machines are relatively large-scale sand pump. For large-scale engineering applications with different working conditions, different types of large-scale sand suction pumps can be flexibly selected.

16 inch Sand Dredging Pump Selection Background

On March 10th, 2019, a customer from Cameroon called us. He purchased 14-inch sand dredge pump before. And the sand dredge pump had continuously pumped 600,000 cubic meters sand at all. The impeller and other accessories were also worn out. So he hoped that OCEAN Pump could choose a sand dredge pump with a higher output to replace the old pump type.
The requirements are as follows:

1. Pumping sand in the sea, with a depth of 35-40 meters;
2. The sand is clean, but the proportion is large.The gravel is generally angular, so the wear on the pump will be relatively large;
3. The discharge distance is 500 meters, basically no vertical height;
4. The bigger the output, the better.

16 inch Sand Dredging Pump Selection Process
OCEAN Pump has a 400GN-45 ( 16-inch ) sand suction pump with a flow rate up to 4500m³/h. This sand extracting pump type is very suitable for the customer. It is recommended to purchase a Cummins or Perkins 1500 horsepower diesel engine and marine gear box. The amount of sand produced in this way is at least 800 m³/h, and there is no problem within 1000 meters of discharge distance.
