Electric Sand Pump was Delivered to South Africa for Sand Dredging

Electric sand pump is a multifunctional sand dredging machine which can be installed on the land or sand dredger for sand and slurry pumping. On April 23th, 2019, the 8 inch electric sand pump 200 PNS-30 produced by OCEAN Pump was delivered to South Africa for dredging operations. This sand pump type was originally modified by a wear-resistant slurry pump, which inherited the high efficiency and resistance of the wear-resistant slurry pump. The advantages such as grinding, stable energy saving, deep suction depth make it suitable for sand pumping, dredging, tailing processing, relay transport and other engineering sites.

Electric Sand Pump Selection Process

At the beginning of April 2018, South Africa customers visited OCEAN Pump factory. The customer undertook a section of river dredging project.  The excavator was used for river dredging and obviously felt high construction cost and slow construction progress. They hoped that OCEAN Pump selection engineer could recommend one suitable sand pump machine. Most of the sediments in the river are silt and sand, the excavator has cleaned up the weeds and garbage, the customers required a conveyor distance of 2,000 meters.
Through the on-site environment, OCEAN Pump recommended customers to use multiple vertical sand slurry mud pumps to work together, then gather sand and water mixture into an eight-inch electric sand pump to achieve long-distance transportation through relay. This dredging method has the advantages of high concentration and high efficiency. The only drawback is that the worker master needs to manually operate the water jet, and the labor cost is large. OCEAN Pump is designing an automatic water jet that will save labor costs after successful testing.

We showed the customers videos of our sand pump on working. The customers decided to purchase a set of electric sand pump equipment first, then will purchase in large quantities after successful operation. After the contract was finalized, the workshop of Ocean Pump assembled the sand pumping unit and delivered it to South Africa.

A 6 inch river sand dredger was exported to Vanuatu for sand suction. We received his inquiry on June. He wanted to use a small sand dredger on offshore area. And the dredging depth is about 12 m, delivery distance is about 80 m. Then we suggested him to use a small 6 inch dredger according to his site situation. We told the customer we had tested the sand dredging pump very well in working. We also helped him buy other goods (floating silt curtain, etc.) in China. And we loaded the goods in the container together to save cost on transportation. He speak highly of our products and service.

It took about 20 days to finish this dredger producing. We sent pictures and videos by email to instruct them to assemble and use the dredger. Through these customer assembled the dredger within 1 day. This dredger has many advantages, such as easy to operate, good in stability and so on. As a result, customer who used this dredger has a high opinion of it.
