Material Differences of Centrifugal Slurry Pump

Centrifugal slurry pump is commonly used in pumping systems that move sand deposits to a long distance. Centrifugal slurry pump has good price and high performance in our sand pump machines. Small size and volume make centrifugal slurry pump easy to operate, transport and maintain. Centrifugal slurry pump is widely used for tailing, sediment, sand or slurry extraction in the power plant, river, lake, pond, etc.

Every manufacturer of sand dredging pump in the market claims to produce wear-resistant centrifugal slurry pumps. What are the differences? Except the working conditions, sand pumping machine rotation speed and other factors, which kind of casting material is better? This article elaborates on these issues.

1. Material A05, also known as chrome 27, material label Cr27, is mainly used in casting the over-current parts of large particle gravel pump. It is originally used by Australian WAMAN Company in the mining project. This material is a kind of wear-resistant white iron, with the advantages of corrosion resistance and erosion resistance. Compared with other casting material, it contains nickel instead of molybdenum.

2. Material Cr26.It is the over-current parts material of Centrifugal slurry pump. Cr26 is mainly used in submersible slurry pump and vertical slurry pump. Cr26 contains 26% chromium, and also contains nickel, molybdenum, copper. Cr26 has high wear resistance and high performance, so it is suitable for high speed sand suction pump.
   
   
   
   

3. Material Cr28, mainly used in marine sand pump and centrifugal slurry pump. The chromium content is 28%. It also contains nickel and molybdenum. It is harder than Cr26, and has good tensile properties. The application range is very wide.

3. Material Cr15Mo3. Compared with above three casting material, Cr15Mo3 has strongest wear resistance and is also the hardest casting material. But the production of molybdenum and nickel is low, so the price of Cr15Mo3 is very high. The casting parts cost of Cr15Mo3 is twice as much as high-chromium alloy. However China is vigorously mining nickel and molybdenum ore, the market prospect is good.

Wear resistance of the sand pump over-current components is mainly depends on the content of carbon. Then adding trace elements such as silicon, manganese, phosphorus, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, aluminum, boron, vanadium, tin, etc. High wear resistance can be realized by changing the proportion of the elements. Large Particle Sand Pump Was Delivered to Indonesia for Sand Pumping

Large particle sand pump, also known as gravel pump, is the ideal sand pumping equipment. In the early stage we communicated by Wechat and video, the customers quickly learned the installation precautions and welded the dredger hull to install the sand pump. The whole set of dredging equipment was installed on 25^th , October and the pipeline was connected for running test.

During the test, the customers found that the sand suction pipe were always moving and couldn’t be fixed in a certain area to pump sand. They sent us a video about the problem. After watching the video, we understood the problem. The customers welded their sand-absorbing faucet in low weight and small size in order to make it easy to float on water, and the sand pumping area was shallow, when the sand dredger worked, high-pressure water impact force provided by water pump made the sand-absorbing faucet can not sink into water. We suggested customers increasing the weight of the sand-absorbing faucet. After improvement, the problem was solved. The sand output of large particle sand pump was about 50m³/h, the discharge distance was about 200m. The customer was very satisfied with the result.

The outlet direction of gravel pump can be adjusted according to the request direction.
